Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our incredible early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers through engaging, play-based teaching strategies. Duties
- Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ needs, incorporating best practices for early childhood education.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes social-emotional growth and physical development
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to foster cooperation and independence among children
- Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, building strong partnerships to support each child's learning journey
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child development best practices
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, maintaining a secure environment for all children
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress through a variety of assessments to tailor instruction effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques suitable for toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, and early intervention methods
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily activities is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment
- A background in education or childcare strongly preferred, but not required
