The Weld Shop Supervisor will oversee numerous employees spread out over multiple buildings, working on different projects. The Shop Supervisor will also:

Wear proper PPE at all times on shop floor and follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure the safety of all shop personnel and visitors by enforcing strict safety guidelines
- Create a safety-first culture in the shop through open communication
- Respectfully set goals for employees that will maximize production and manage their time to see the fulfillment of these goals
- Occasionally perform employee corrective action and documentation when necessary

Supervise and coach employees
- Organize workflow and ensure assigned work is completed within the given time frames according to specifications
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities
-
High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in area of supervision required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred

Must have a substantial knowledge of welding and fitting of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.

Must have the mindset of safety first above all else.

Must have the ability to write instructions for the following shift on all jobs including details on safety, quality and production.
- Must have a can-do attitude, people skills, and be accountable for all activities taking place on you shift.

Skills in operating heavy equipment and maintenance of equipment

A CDL
Physical requirements
May require lifting up to fifty pounds unassisted and requires extensive walking throughout the plant. This position is in a non-climate-controlled environment.
