***Please read before applying *** We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) systems utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan; conduct inspections of plumbing, refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliances.
- Conduct field service visits to property sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance; ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Repair mechanical components through welding, equipment repair techniques, or replacement of faulty parts; maintain detailed service records for each job performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems such as duct cleaning, filter replacements, and system upgrades.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites.
- Support the team with HVAC/R system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician within the construction or property maintenance industry with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology (including ammonia refrigeration), and boiler operation.
- Hands-on experience repairing appliances and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Field service experience working directly at customer sites—delivering prompt solutions while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R regulations and safety standards is essential; familiarity with property maintenance procedures is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Additional certifications such as Refrigeration Technician Certification or HVAC/R licenses are highly desirable. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
