Screw Machine Operator & Set Up Person
Quality oriented operators for established Tennessee screw machine business required.
Must have experience with Multispindle Screw Machines including
- New Britains
- Brown & Sharpes
- Davenports
- Acme Gridleys - While we do not run these , we would welcome the opportunity to talk to operators with this type of work history
Salary based on experience, competitive benefits. Skilled Screw Machine Operators generally start out much higher than the posted rate. Indeed requires us to post a rate. The posted Pay Rate of $17 is for people coming in brand new to screw machine work. Opportunity for advancement for good operators

Duties And Responsibilities:
- Load, start-up and run machines as required. You may be expected to operate multiple machines at one time.
- Ability to setup machines for jobs. Design and trouble shooting is a plus.
- Read drawings and job orders for information such as dimensions, tolerances, and job quantity.
- Adjust machine and tool settings to keep customer part dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Verify parts conform to specifications using gauging tools
- Change or sharpen machine tools as required
- Perform maintenance on the machines as required.
- Perform work in accordance with ISO 9001-2015 requirements
- Responsible for adhering to Management Quality Policy: All employees are responsible for the quality of their work, continuously improving processes, and participating in formal employee training programs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Essential Job Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship or Manufacturing Technology courses a plus
- Ability to layout new jobs and make continuous process improvements is preferred.
- Experience in Multispindle Screw Machine Setup.
- Experience using and ability to interpret gauging tools, such as calipers, micrometers and comparator.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Ability to produce quality parts while meeting defined production rates (quantities per hour)
- Strong mechanical ability is required.
- Possesses effective verbal communication skills

Pay: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour
