- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquets or catering events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of retail math, including calculating prices, discounts, and tips
- Experience in the hospitality or food service industry, with a focus on serving/bartending
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff members
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and practices
This position requires a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Bartenders must also be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects such as kegs or cases of alcohol.
