This is a live-in opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, share your life, and help someone thrive in theirs.
Please note: Depending on the individual that lives with you, this may be primary employment
About the Individual You’ll Support
They are kind and active individuals who loves socializing, and being part of the community. They may participate in adaptive sports and the Special Olympics—and the individuals we serve are looking for someone who will cheer them on, help them stay organized, and share in the fun.
Your Role as a Provider
As a Shared Living Provider, you’ll offer more than care—you’ll offer connection, encouragement, and stability.
You’ll help by:
- Creating a warm, welcoming home environment
- Supporting daily routines and appointments
- Encouraging participation in sports and social events
- Assisting with daily exercises and healthy habits
- Planning meals, shopping, and cooking together
- Supporting ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) through positive role modeling
- Attending appointments and managing basic documentation
- Maintaining confidential records and using basic computer tools
What You Bring:
- A kind, patient, and flexible personality
- A passion for helping others live full lives
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (personal, volunteer, or professional is a plus)
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Willingness to complete First Aid & CPR training (provided by LIFE)
- Ability to pass DDS background checks (DPPC, CORI, Fingerprinting)
