Key Qualifications:
- Current and active South Carolina Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Background in providing physical therapy services in school settings (K-12 experience strongly preferred).
- Flexibility and adaptability to serve multiple school locations in an itinerant capacity.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other professionals.
- Commitment to professional best practices and ongoing professional development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite physical therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative support to students at various school locations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to support students' educational and mobility goals.
- Participate in student IEP/504 meetings and provide detailed documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Support school staff with training and guidance on best practices for student mobility and positioning.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create an inclusive educational environment.
- Maintain compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations related to school-based therapy.
