Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Support team supporting critical systems and applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
Pay Rate: $35- $38 / hr. on W2
What's the Job?
- Design, plan, and implement infrastructure solutions to support new applications and technologies
- Support software and hardware upgrades, maintenance of Windows servers, operating systems, and infrastructure systems
- Manage and administer Windows Server systems, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare, and WSUS
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Ensure system security, stability, and performance through best practices and industry standards
What's Needed?
- 8 or more years of experience with server and system administration technologies such as Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare, and WSUS
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
- ITIL certification is a plus
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments
- Knowledge of IIS and Microsoft .NET web applications administration
