JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing unique and high-value merchandise from multiple “Eastern Shore” retail locations to support the organization’s eCommerce sales strategy. . This role requires strong product knowledge and sound judgment to assess resale potential across a range of specialty one or more categories, including collectibles, books/comic books, musical instruments, artwork, media, electronics, fashion and luxury goods. The position contributes directly to online revenue growth by ensuring the selection of quality items aligned with market demand and organizational standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Travel to multiple retail locations daily to identify items of potential value through product knowledge, online research, and professional judgment.

Recognize and evaluate brands, designers, manufacturers, signatures, maker’s marks, and other distinguishing characteristics that contribute to an item's marketability and value.

Assess merchandise for quality, authenticity, condition, and resale potential.

Collaborate professionally with management and retail staff across multiple locations.

Meet established productivity, quality, and performance goals.

Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, driving requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Represent and promote Goodwill’s mission and values through positive daily interactions with team members and customers.

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Valid MD Driver’s License and registration

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for frequent travel between locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium
Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 50% of working time, must have access to personal vehicle
This position primarily supports Goodwill retail locations throughout Maryland’s Eastern Shore, including Denton, Salisbury, Easton, and Cambridge, with regular travel required between these locations. Additional travel to other Eastern Shore locations may be required as business needs evolve.
Occasional travel outside of the Eastern Shore region may be necessary for training, special projects, inventory initiatives, or operational support. In some cases, long-distance travel, including overnight stays, may be required and will typically be planned. However, occasional unplanned travel may be necessary to address operational needs.

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
