Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, efficient detail oriented Part-Time Barista to join our team on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at our café location in San Francisco. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in coffee preparation, strong time management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following company standards.
- Operate Toast POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for sales.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth café operations during shifts.
- Assist with food preparation or serving when required, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry background .
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently within shift hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to arrive promptly for scheduled shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:20 AM to 12:20 PM.
