About the Role
We’re looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) who loves working with kids and is passionate about child development. In this role, you will lead evaluations, design creative treatment plans, and provide collaborative mentorship. This position is all about creativity, patience, and connection—turning clinical expertise into play while making a real impact in a child’s daily life.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive, play-based occupational therapy evaluations and standardized assessments.
- Design, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one direct therapy in areas like fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social participation.
- Use evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches to support children with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and related conditions.
- Partner closely with families to provide post-session debriefs and help carry over practical strategies at home.
- Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current California state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) and NBCOT certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with sensory integration, neurodevelopmental approaches, or similar frameworks.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to clinical and caregiver needs.
- Strong communication, clinical adaptability, and boundary awareness.
