Now Hiring: Experienced Family Law & Criminal Law Paralegal
We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Family Law & Criminal Law Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate is compassionate when working with clients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and organize case files from intake through resolution.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties.
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and hearing materials.
- Assist with discovery, subpoenas, and document production.
- File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts.
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation and case management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law and/or criminal defense.
- Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and filing requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with relevant experience.
