Under the direction of the department manager, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients.

Responsibilities:
1. IS/ RIS System
2. Forms (History, Preg & Req)
3. Equipment
4. Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effects of disease processes to properly and safety position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.
5. Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts to alert any party to possible contradictions for procedure.
6. Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, operating suites and at the patient's bedside, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images using the A.L.A.R.A. (As low as reasonable achievable) standard
7. Performs various clerical duties including, but not limited to
7.1 Verification of information (to include reading and verifying physican written order) and exams performed, using CR, DR, and PACs immediately after completing exams.
8. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his /her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Must be a graduate of an approved twoyear program. Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible, must obtain within 3 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Will consider new grads.
LICENSURE
Must possess RI license. ARRT certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
