Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (Experience Dependent)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee field operations for large-scale commercial plumbing construction projects throughout the Phoenix market. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite activities, coordinating labor and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring high-quality project execution from start to finish.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial plumbing construction and proven experience leading field teams on complex mechanical projects. This individual will serve as the primary field leader, working closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and trade partners to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all plumbing field operations from project startup through completion

Manage and coordinate foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors

Develop and maintain workforce plans to ensure proper manpower allocation

Coordinate project activities with General Contractors, owners, and other trades

Monitor project schedules and drive production to meet key milestones

Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scope requirements

Ensure plumbing installations meet quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes

Identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and scheduling challenges

Oversee material deliveries, equipment utilization, and jobsite logistics
Qualifications
-
3+ years of commercial plumbing construction experience
-
3+ years of experience in a Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar leadership role

Experience managing field operations on ground-up and/or large commercial construction projects

Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, piping installations, and applicable building codes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction schedules

Proven ability to lead multiple crews while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity goals

Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practices

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred

Experience with healthcare, manufacturing, mission-critical, education, or public works projects

Familiarity with BIM coordination and construction technology platforms

Experience working for a mechanical contractor specializing in plumbing and HVAC systems

Knowledge of process piping, medical gas, or industrial piping systems
