Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman or Electrician with 5 or mores years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work on both residential and industrial projects. This role requires expertise in handling high voltage systems, as well as proficiency in using various hand and power tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will play a crucial role in building and renovating electrical installations, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and maintaining safety standards on construction sites.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Work on high voltage installations, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in various conditions on construction sites.
