Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting and warehouse tasks as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols during the loading and unloading process.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route completed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including preparing shipments.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies for daily operations.
Skills
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid CDL driver's license; experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
Primary hauling equipment is:
· 2017 Peterbilt tractor with 53’ step deck trailer
· 2024 Ford F550 with various gooseneck trailers
