Job Overview
Heavy Civil Contractor is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment repair and be proficient in using hand tools and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and performance of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct brake repairs, shock and strut, and tire services to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including forklifts and other machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in equipment repair with hands-on experience using hand tools.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of brake repair systems, shocks, struts, and tire service procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience working with Caterpillar engines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
