POSITION SUMMARY
This individual is responsible for ice resurfacer operation, ice resurfacer maintenance, and closing procedures at the facility. This person must be mature and in possession of a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record. This employee will be properly trained on the operational features of the ice resurfacing machine. They will provide simple maintenance of all machinery and all general building areas. They also understand that ice arenas operate 24 hours a day and may be called upon to perform extra work in emergency situations. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with team members and management. This position requires the individual to be able to work independently and in a team environment during the same shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Maintaining high quality of the ice
· Operation of ice resurfacer, ice edger, ice painting equipment, to properly prepare the ice surfaces.
· Making sure the facility is staying on schedule with all activities and events taking place
· Using the “ice slot clock” when exiting the ice cut to assist customers in being aware of the time left in their ice rental
· Perform general maintenance of the machinery and tools used to prepare the ice
· Maintain the cleanliness of the facility. This includes: locker rooms, team benches, bleachers, mezzanine, lobby, restrooms, employee only areas, party rooms, resurfacer storage, compressor area, and parking lot.
· Performance of any tasks given by the General Manager, Facility Manager, Manager on Duty or any senior manager of CRP Management Group Inc.
· Adherence to a prepared ice schedule.
· Provide additional help to skate monitors when requested by the Manager on Duty.
· Prepare the ice to conform to the standards set forth by the Facility Manager.
· Perform circle safety check of ice resurfacers at beginning of shift and make necessary repairs.
· Complete basic functions of all ice resurfacer machines:
- filling tanks with water after every cut
- proper disposal of ice shavings
- maintaining snow pit at acceptable levels
- verification that ice resurfacer is properly fueled
- logging every ice resurface.
· Maintain the bay area where Ice Resurfacer vehicles are stored. This area is to be secured at all times, clean, and orderly. All tools should be in their proper place in cabinets or tool chests.
· If necessary, janitorial needs may arise such as mop floors and/or vacuum carpet.
· Verify that all locker room bathrooms are clean and properly stocked.
· Trash is to be emptied when warranted throughout business hours.
· Complete all logs when required throughout the shift.
· Assist with sharpening rental skates.
· Knowledge of facility programming, and other related items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
· Mechanically inclined to assist with basic maintenance of the machinery, to include but not be limited to: refueling, blade changing, greasing, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
· Ability to stay on task while working alone without close supervision.
· Valid drivers license and safe driving record

Sunday - Saturday: Shifts between 6:00 am – 1:00 am
