Junk Relief Inc. — Chicago Area
Full-Time
Pay: $19/hour guaranteed weekly minimum + performance commission + tips
Strong performers are trained and expected to grow toward $25+/hour average weekly earnings
Junk Relief is hiring full-time Junk Removal Driver / Crew Members to join our field team.
This job is part paid workout, part customer service, part sales, and part problem-solving. You’ll be moving, lifting, loading, talking with customers, protecting their property, helping jobs run smoothly, and learning how to increase route performance through great communication and execution.
Some people love this work. Some people won’t.
If you like staying active, working with a crew, getting outside, solving problems, talking to customers, and earning more when the team performs well, this can be a great job.
This is not just a labor job. Our best employees can handle physical work safely, communicate well with customers, stay positive under pressure, and follow systems.
What You’ll Do
- Remove furniture, appliances, boxes, debris, construction material, and other unwanted items from homes and businesses.
- Work in garages, basements, apartments, offices, warehouses, alleys, storage units, and outdoor areas.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, load, and unload items safely with a teammate.
- Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional way.
- Help identify additional items customers may want removed.
- Help crews price jobs clearly and confidently.
- Protect walls, floors, doors, elevators, landscaping, vehicles, and customer property.
- Take before, after, and truck photos for job documentation.
- Sweep and clean work areas after removal.
- Help separate junk, metal, donation items, resale items, electronics, mattresses, clothing, and recyclable material.
- Help keep trucks, tools, equipment, and warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Learn how to become a Field Sales Lead over time.
Driving Requirement
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
You do not need years of box-truck experience, but you must be confident and willing to learn to drive non-CDL junk removal trucks safely.
If you are nervous driving larger vehicles, scared to learn, or do not want to drive, this is probably not the right job.
Experience driving any of the following is a plus:
- Box truck
- Moving truck
- Cargo van
- Dump truck
- Trailer
- Delivery vehicle
- Landscape or construction vehicle
Pay
This position has a $19/hour guaranteed weekly minimum, plus performance-based commission and tips.
This is not designed to be a “just show up and make the minimum” job. Strong performers are trained and expected to grow toward $25+/hour average weekly earnings as they learn the job, improve customer communication, work efficiently, protect property, complete routes properly, and help customers say yes to more work.
When the crew performs well, customers are happier, reviews improve, the company grows, and employees earn more.
