Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Assist in the preparation of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and mixers safely and effectively.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food is prepared to specifications.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required.
