Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to inmate/patients within scope of practice

Administer medications and treatments as ordered

Conduct patient assessments and document findings

Respond to medical concerns and urgent healthcare needs

Assist providers with examinations and procedures

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Adhere to all facility security, safety, and confidentiality policies
Requirements

Current Texas LVN license in good standing

Current CPR/BLS certification
-
Current professional liability/malpractice insurance required

Previous clinical nursing experience required

Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required

Ability to work effectively in a correctional/jail environment

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and facility clearance requirements
