Insight Healthcare is seeking a licensed physician to serve as the Supervising Physician and Medical Director for our Medicare Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) program.
This position is specifically designed for physicians who want to generate additional recurring income without taking on another clinical practice or significant administrative responsibilities. With an expected commitment of only 5–10 hours per month, this role can easily be performed alongside an existing practice, hospital position, academic appointment, or even in retirement.

Your Role
As the supervising physician, you provide the medical oversight required by Medicare for our RPM and CCM programs. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Providing overall clinical oversight of the program
- Reviewing and approving clinical protocols, workflows, and standard operating procedures prepared by our team
- Reviewing completed monthly documentation
- Applying independent clinical judgment when appropriate
- Signing monthly RPM and CCM documentation
- Serving as the Medicare billing practitioner for monthly RPM and CCM services
- Participating in periodic quality and compliance meetings
What You Won't Be Doing
This is not a traditional patient care position.
You will not be expected to:
- Conduct routine patient phone calls
- Perform monthly care management activities
- Schedule patients
- Track RPM or CCM time
- Create SOPs or documentation templates
- Manage staff
- Coordinate devices
- Handle patient enrollment
- Perform routine administrative tasks
Our experienced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, care managers, compliance specialists, and operations team handle the day-to-day execution of the program.
How Our Care Model Works
Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants provide direct patient care, including office visits and telehealth visits, which are billed under their individual NPIs.
Our clinical and administrative teams perform the ongoing RPM and CCM services, patient outreach, care coordination, documentation, and operational support.
Your role is to provide physician oversight, review and approve the clinical framework of the program, review and sign monthly documentation, and serve as the supervising and billing physician in accordance with Medicare requirements.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Active, unrestricted medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Medicare enrollment (or willingness to enroll)
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to quality care
Preferred backgrounds include Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Hospital Medicine, or other primary care specialties.
Compensation
