Human Resources Associate
Luna Park in Coney Island is seeking a Human Resources Associate to provide essential administrative support to the HR Department, ensuring the smooth execution of all HR functions across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee engagement events and employee record management. The Human Resources Associate will assist with maintaining employee records, compliance tracking, recruitment events, onboarding and offboarding procedures, and HR system updates. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, be comfortable handling confidential employee information, and excel at multitasking within a high-volume seasonal hiring environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with record-keeping regulations.
- Support the HR Department with the tracking and scheduling of mandatory annual training for all employees.
- Assist the HR Business Partner and HR Coordinator with preparation and logistics for job fairs, hiring events, and recruitment initiatives.
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Coordinator to support seasonal hiring processes, including coordinating orientation meetings and ensuring new hires receive necessary uniforms and issue ID badges to new employees.
- Provide administrative support for HR processes, including generating reports, termination letters, drafting employee communications and day-to-day tasks.
- Provide the necessary support during benefits open enrollment season.
- Support the HR Team with all engagement events including logistics and communications.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Support HR-related special projects and initiatives, including engagement programs, employee recognition events, and training administration.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee data.
- Perform additional HR administrative tasks as required to support the department’s efficiency and success.
Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in HR administration or related HR support functions.
- Experience with Paylocity a plus; experience with HRIS systems
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required during peak hiring seasons.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to support various HR team members.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
