Steel Unlimited Inc, in Riverside is currently looking for the ideal candidate in the inventory clerk position in our Riverside facility. This position would be in charge of verifying records and track all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position is responsible for inventory count and tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Cycle Counting
- Data inventory
- Tracking incoming goods and outgoing product material
- Managing and updating stock
- Insuring accurate inventory levels
- Verifying incoming Steel product
- Checking quantities/grades/ and quality of received steel against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies
- Inspecting Steel product for defects or damage upon receipt and before shipment of finalized goods.
- Loading and offloading
- Preparing steel orders for shipment, including proper packaging, and loading onto trucks
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of work experience in an Inventory position, within steel manufacturing industry.
Basic Qualification Requirements:
- Steel Manufacturer experience a plus
- Quality experience a plus
- Strong understanding of different steel grades, sizes, and specifications
- Proficiency in using inventory systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic Math skills for calculations related to inventory levels
- Forklift Operation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements: This is a hands-on manufacturing role.
- Lifting - must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, pushing
- Able to operate machinery/forklift
