Position Overview
Squared Solutions is seeking an Estimator to join our growing shoring and scaffolding team. This role combines estimating, customer relationship development, and collaboration with project managers and field operations.
The ideal candidate understands commercial construction, communicates well, and can turn project opportunities into accurate, practical, and competitive estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, bid invitations, and project documents.
- Perform takeoffs and prepare estimates for scaffolding, access, and temporary shoring projects.
- Estimate labor, materials, equipment, transportation, rental, and related project costs.
- Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings to evaluate access, logistics, sequencing, and field conditions.
- Develop clear proposals, scopes, assumptions, and change-order pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospective clients.
- Follow up on bids and identify opportunities for repeat and new business.
- Coordinate with our sister company on shared opportunities and customer relationships.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to ensure estimates are practical and executable.
- Support project turnover and use completed-project results to improve future estimates.
Qualifications
- Commercial construction estimating, project management, field supervision, business development, or related experience.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, labor, logistics, and jobsite conditions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Willingness to visit customers and jobsites throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
- Scaffolding, temporary shoring, structural, or field operations experience is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
