Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team in Townsend, MT.

A candidate with a strong work ethic, who is self-motivated, organized, and has the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, and have a positive attitude.
Elkhorn Veterinary clinic’s practice is in the care of both small and large Animals. This position is responsible to provide assistance and support to the Doctors in all aspects of patient care delivery, including , but not limited to, greeting clients and performing pre- examination procedures such as taking temperatures, heart rate, and pulse. Preparing the environment/surgical supplies/ and animals for surgery, Administering anesthesia, monitoring Animals before, during, and after surgery. Maintaining sanitary environmental conditions including cleaning up animal blood and waste, sweeping, mopping, cleaning corrals, etc… Must be a team player and able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis. This is a full time position with unique working hours. Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person for our team.
Rate of pay is based on experience and whether you are a CVT.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must be comfortable working with animals of all sizes and breeds.
- Must be comfortable handling animals of all types such as cats, dogs, birds, etc.
- Must be a self starter and work well with a team.
Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
