Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Duties (not limited to):
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in various subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Assess student performance through formal and informal assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress
Skills:
- Experience working with students with IEP's
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies for students with disabilities
- Proficiency in literacy education, including reading comprehension and writing skills development
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured and engaging learning environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
