Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas, pretzels, and other oven-baked items
- Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of each order
- Follow health and safety standards for food preparation and kitchen cleanliness
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, tools, and workspaces before/after use
- Assist with dishwashing and proper food storage
- Monitor ingredient and inventory levels; notify Prep Cooks as needed
- Maintain strong portion control and attention to detail
- Work efficiently in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Must be organized, communicative, and capable of standing for long periods
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have a willingness to learn and follow directions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-temperature environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes.
- Attention to detail, especially with regard to food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varied hours/days, including weekends as needed.
Skills to Learn:
- Proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including ovens.
- Techniques for baking a variety of foods.
- Food safety and hygiene protocols, including temperature controls and cross-contamination prevention.
- Efficient kitchen workflow and time management to handle peak times.
- Customer service best practices and effective communication with team members.
- Inventory management and proper food storage techniques.
- Understanding of portion control and presentation standards.
