The Temporary Dispensary Store Manager role will last approximately 84 days and includes a Sign-on bonus after 60 days.
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, compliance, and sales performance. This role requires a strong leader who can balance business operations with regulatory requirements and foster a team-oriented, customer-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee daily dispensary operations, including opening and closing, and maintaining the store's appearance.
- Ensure efficient and compliant sales transactions.
- Maintain a secure and organized environment for both staff and customers.
- Monitor and optimize store performance metrics (sales, profit margins, customer satisfaction).
Staff Management
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise budtenders and other dispensary staff.
- Provide ongoing training on product knowledge, compliance protocols, and customer service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings.
- Foster a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Inventory & Product Management
- Oversee all inventory procedures, including receiving, stocking, and tracking.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Team and District Manager to manage product availability and product refills.
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures for all cannabis products.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all store operations are compliant with local, state, and federal cannabis regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including METRC or other seed-to-sale tracking systems.
- Prepare and submit required reports to the Operations Manager as needed.
- Enforce ID checks, purchase limits, and age restrictions to comply with OMMA regulations.
Customer Experience
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service and knowledge sharing.
- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and respond to customer reviews and feedback.
- 3+ years of retail or dispensary management experience (cannabis industry strongly preferred).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of cannabis products, laws, and regulations (training provided if needed).
- Experience with POS systems and inventory software (e.g., METRC, BioTrack, Dutchie, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be 21+ and able to pass a background check per regulatory requirements.
