Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by assisting teachers with daily routines, including diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to promote development and curiosity.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by following health and safety protocols at all times.
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and parent communication.
- Provide responsive care to children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and consistent guidance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions between activities and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
Skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
