About the Role
We are a boutique marketing and PR agency working with clients chiefly in the medical and wellness space. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented contractor to support media relations on a part-time, fully remote basis.
This is a good fit for someone who is self-directed, communicates clearly without the use of AI, and takes ownership of their work without needing to be chased down.
What You'll Do
- Based on our clients' area of expertise and working with our owner, develop stories and pitches.
- Pitch topics and stories to journalists, editors, producers, and podcast hosts.
- Refine/build media lists.
- Coordinate media opportunity responses with clients.
- Create briefing sheets/backgrounders.
- Coordinate with our social media team members to develop appropriate social media posts.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in media relations. No college students.
- Strong written communication skills -- AI generated work is cause for termination.
- Experience building media lists
- Experience with media databases and Qwoted
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and follow through without reminders
- Must be comfortable on video -- all meetings are camera-on

Logistics
- Contract position, 5 hours per week to start
- Fully remote
- Must be available for meetings during regular business hours (Mountain Time)
- Must have your own computer, camera, and microphone
