Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Semiconductor Wafer Fab Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in semiconductor wafer fabrication. This includes ensuring quality control, monitoring production processes, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure that wafers are processed efficiently and meet quality standards.
Hours for 1st Shift - 5:30AM - 2:00PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment, including photolithography, etching, deposition, and ion implantation tools.
- Monitor and control wafer processing parameters to ensure process consistency and product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of tools and equipment.
- Inspect wafers for defects, measuring thickness, resistivity, and other parameters to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Record process data and equipment performance, ensuring accurate documentation for production and quality control purposes.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate problems to senior technicians or engineers when necessary.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws; we are unable to sponsor export licenses for non-U.S. persons for this role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in semiconductor technology or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of semiconductor wafer processes and equipment is a strong advantage.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a precise and accurate manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear required protective gear.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity to handle and inspect small components.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require shift work, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on production schedules.
- Work will be performed in a cleanroom environment with temperature and humidity controls.
Export Control/ITAR:
This position may require access to information and items subject to U.S. export control laws (e.g., ITAR/EAR). Employment is contingent on verification of U.S. person status or, where permitted, the company securing any required authorization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
