La Academia Partnership Charter School seeks a highly qualified, mission-driven High School Science Teacher with Pennsylvania certification in Physical Science 7–12 or Comprehensive Science 7–12.
La Academia Partnership Charter School is a public charter school serving Lancaster County scholars in a small, safe, and community-centered environment. As a Title I school, La Academia offers the benefits of a small school setting, including small class sizes that allow teachers to know their scholars well and respond to their academic needs. The successful candidate will deliver instruction aligned to Pennsylvania STEELS Standards using inquiry-based, project-based, and student-centered practices that deepen scientific reasoning and problem-solving for students in grades 9–12 and contribute to a dynamic learning community grounded in high expectations, relationships, and student success.

Primary Responsibilities
- Instructional Planning and Delivery: Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons and laboratory experiences in physical science and related high school science content areas.
- STEELS-Aligned Instruction: Deliver instruction aligned to Pennsylvania STEELS Standards using inquiry-based, project-based, and student-centered practices that deepen scientific reasoning and problem-solving.
- Learning Environment: Establish a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom and laboratory environment that supports strong relationships and high expectations for all learners.
- Assessment and Data Use: Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and use data to inform instruction and interventions.
- Scholar Support: Differentiate instruction and collaborate with colleagues to meet the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with identified needs.
- Family and Team Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with families and actively participate in professional learning, school initiatives, and collaborative planning processes.
Required Qualifications
Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II certificate.
Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Physical Science 7–12 or Comprehensive Science 7–12 required.
Demonstrated commitment to equitable outcomes for scholars, culturally responsive teaching, and collaboration within a mission-driven charter school environment is strongly preferred.
