Cell Biologics is seeking a highly motivated Immunologist/cell biologist Scientist with experienced in optimizing methods for isolating, culturing, and characterizing immune cells. This position expands our immune cell product portfolio and supports cutting-edge immunology research.
Role Description
The role focuses on isolating immune cells such as T cells, B cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and other leukocyte populations from humans and animals. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cell isolation, culture optimization, and flow cytometry-based cell sorting.
This is a full-time, on-site Immunologist role based in the Chicago Area. The Immunologist will be responsible for conducting immunological and cellular research, designing and executing experiments, and analyzing data in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Daily responsibilities include handling laboratory tasks, developing protocols, and contributing to innovative research. The role also involves maintaining laboratory equipment and assisting with the development of new cell culture products.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including cell culture, experimental design, and data analysis
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Immunology and related disciplines
- Hands-on experience isolating and culturing primary immune cells. Experience with PBMC isolation, density gradient centrifugation, magnetic bead enrichment, or tissue digestion.
- Strong background in flow cytometry and cell sorting
- Expertise in isolating and culturing cells from human and animal tissues (e.g., endothelial cells, epithelial cells, stem cells, etc.).
- Experience in generating and culturing stable cell lines-Immortalized cell lines SV40, fluorescent cell lines (GFP, RFP...).
- Perform complex in vivo and in vitro surgical procedures on rodents and large animals. Familiarity with tissue processing and dissociation methods, including mechanical and enzymatic digestion.
- Needs to have experience and be able to perform Animal Work.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field
- 3-5 Years of Experience as an Immunologist.
