Osprey Studios building a world-class content studio and production hub in the heart of NYC to support independent journalism and storytelling. We are seeking a Social Video Intern for summer 2026 to support the long running Fifth Column podcast, along with several other projects currently in development.
You will work directly under the Social Video Producer to help turn longform podcast content into high-performing social video, as well as deepening our audience engagement and expanding our reach on social media.
This is not a passive internship. This is a hands-on role inside a fast-growing content operation. You’ll be involved in everything from analytics and strategy to editing support, learning how professional social video is actually built and scaled.
Your job is to help us move faster, think sharper, and continuously improve performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Analytics, Reporting & Insight Generation
Gather and track performance data across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook & Substack)
Build reports that identify trends in video analytics and strategize how to best implement them
Source strong video examples from across the internet to model winning formats and trends
Monitor comments and feedback across platforms for constructive audience insights
Recommend data-driven strategies to refine and scale audience growth
Create, Edit, and Publish Video Content
Assist where needed on our busy weekly schedule of shoots
Assist in Adobe Premiere to ensure every video meets a high bar for clarity, polish, and retention
Publish content with captions, formatting, and strategic iterations tailored to each platform
Stay Ahead of the Curve
Immerse yourself in social media to identify new platform-specific ways to gather attention
Ideate platform-native storytelling formats that resonate with modern audiences
Collaborate with journalists, editors, and producers to bring our content to life across social media
