National Roof Co. is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in Goodlettsville, TN.
We are looking for someone who knows commercial roofing and understands how a job is actually built and executed—materials, labor, production requirements, jobsite conditions, and potential scope issues—and can turn that knowledge into accurate estimates and professional proposals.
This is not an entry-level estimating position. Previous hands-on commercial roofing estimating experience and JobNimbus experience are required.
What You'll Do
- Prepare detailed estimates and professional proposals for commercial, multi-family, and select residential roofing projects
- Review inspections, measurements, photographs, plans, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate scopes of work
- Perform takeoffs and calculate material quantities, labor requirements, waste factors, and project costs
- Obtain and evaluate vendor, material, and subcontractor pricing
- Build and maintain estimates and proposals within JobNimbus
- Prepare bids, revisions, and change orders
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed
- Identify scope gaps, jobsite conditions, and potential cost issues before proposals are submitted
- Work closely with sales, production, and operations to confirm scope and pricing
- Assist with insurance-related roofing estimates and documentation
- Help ensure a smooth handoff from estimating to production
Roofing Experience
Working knowledge of multiple roofing systems is important, including:
- TPO
- EPDM
- PVC
- Modified Bitumen
- Roof coatings
- Metal roofing
- Shingle roofing
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating or closely related commercial roofing experience
- Hands-on experience creating roofing estimates and customer-facing proposals
- Previous hands-on JobNimbus experience is strongly desired
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing materials, installation methods, labor requirements, and field operations
- Ability to read plans, specifications, measurements, and roofing details
- Experience calculating material and labor requirements
- Understanding of vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Ability to identify scope gaps and job conditions that could impact project profitability
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and proposal deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with sales, field, production, and management teams
Preferred Experience
Experience preparing estimates for insurance-related roofing projects is preferred.

National Roof Co. offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
