Description: Job Title: Technician Level II (Structured Cabling / Low Voltage)Location: Rockhill, SCSchedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (4x12s)Pay: $17 – $20 per hour (DOE)Role SummaryThe Tech II is responsible for performing structured cabling and low-voltage installations in accordance with BICSI standards, project drawings, and company quality requirements.This role is focused on execution, consistency, and craftsmanship—not project management or crew leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesCabling Installation (Independent)Install and dress copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and basic fiber optic cablingRoute cables according to project drawings and pathwaysMaintain proper bend radius and pull tensionInstall J-hooks, cable trays, and basic conduitEnsure proper separation from power systemsTermination & LabelingTerminate jacks and patch panels independentlyAssist with fiber termination (mechanical or pre-terminated)Apply accurate labeling per project standardsMaintain clean, organized racks and panelsPathways & InfrastructureInstall and modify cable support systems (J-hooks, trays)Install sleeves and stubs as directedFollow firestopping requirements (if certified)Ensure proper cable support and spacingTesting & Troubleshooting (Assisted)Perform basic copper testingIdentify and correct common installation issuesAssist with certification testingDocument test results as requiredSafety ResponsibilitiesFollow all jobsite safety requirementsUse proper PPE at all timesSafely operate ladders and liftsReport unsafe conditions immediatelyStop work if safety or quality is compromised QualificationsRequired: 2+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage experienceAbility to work independentlyFamiliarity with BICSI standardsAbility to read blueprints and project drawingsComfortable working at heights and in ceiling spacesPreferred: BICSI Installer 1 (or equivalent experience)OSHA 10 or higherManufacturer certifications
