Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. We are Orthopedic and Spine Specialists, a specialty practice, focused on treating spinal and orthopedic injuries. Our practice is looking for someone energetic and willing to learn.
The position for medical assistant/phlebotomist with us entails a day of rooming patients and accurately inputting details about their injury and how it occurred. The medical assistant will also assist the doctors in our injection suite which includes; prepping the patient, prepping injection supplies, opening injection supplies in a sterile fashion, and maneuvering a C-Arm for X-ray views of the injection site.
Here at Orthopedic and Spine Specialists we perform plasma rich platelet injections which is why the candidate must have a phlebotomy certification. You will be required to draw blood on multiple patients in a fast-paced clinic. Proof of certification is required.
We treat a number of patients per day ranging from 12 in total to 120 in total, dependent on the physician in clinic that day.
Ability to type fast, operate a medical EMR system, and proper phone etiquette is required.
We have 8-12 clinics a month so this is a part-time position. Candidate has the option to work up to 32 hours per week should the total amount of clinic hours be less than 32 hours. Overtime is prohibited.
Candidate will also be required to travel to both office locations, dependant on where clinic is being held that day. Addresses are listed below. Clinic hours are 8:30AM-6:00PM but some clinics end early. First patient is at 9AM but all staff are required to arrive at clinic 30 minutes before the first patient appointment.

Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency in specimen collection/processing, including blood sampling and venipuncture.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in patient service roles is highly valued, emphasizing strong interpersonal skills.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
