PT position, 2 days/week. Wednesday, Thursday or Friday early mornings from 3 AM - 11 AM. 17 Hands Coffee is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a cook/baker in our scratch kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and presentation of our baked goods and culinary offerings. 17 Hands Coffee is an award winning coffee shop/scratch bakery. We are looking for someone to help with the 3AM-11AM shifts Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on baking and food prep. Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
Package finished products for sale, maintaining freshness and visual appeal.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and measuring ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Handle food products safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow and meet customer demands.
Utilize knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in baking or pastry roles.
Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food safety practices is essential.
Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods is an asset.
Experience in restaurant settings will be beneficial for this role.
