5-Star Collision & Glass Center is looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Detail Technician to join our growing team in Grand Forks.
This is not just a wash-bay position. We are building a strong detail and reconditioning department inside a busy collision, glass, and ADAS calibration business. We need someone who takes pride in quality work, moves with purpose, follows process, and helps the entire shop stay on track.
What You’ll Do
- Complete interior and exterior details efficiently and consistently.
- Perform customer details, collision delivery details, pre-washes, post-washes, and reconditioning work.
- Follow defined package processes and quality standards.
- Keep work areas, supplies, towels, and equipment clean and organized.
- Help stage vehicles and keep the detail department moving through the day.
- Communicate early when a vehicle needs more time, materials, or support.
- Help create a great customer experience through clean, consistent work.
- Support other shop needs when detail volume allows.
What We’re Looking For
- Automotive detailing or reconditioning experience preferred.
- A person who works with urgency while still protecting quality.
- Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a full day of assigned work.
- Willing to follow process, accept feedback, and improve quickly.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely move customer vehicles.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in doing things right.

Hiring Timeline
We are actively interviewing and expect to hire within 2–4 weeks. Our goal is to have the right person start as soon as possible, ideally by early August.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
