Job Description:
Based out of Oklahoma City our company focuses on new HVAC controls projects and retrofit projects.
We install Energy management systems, which typically involves controlling the HVAC equipment in commercial buildings. We are responsible for running electrical conduit and pulling low voltage cable to various sensors used to monitor and control equipment such as boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, lights, and more. We pull all wires to electronic controllers where a computer program will monitor and control equipment as needed.
Our work requires ladder climbing, standing for long periods of time and minor lifting. Our personal tool requirements consist of basic electrician tools carried on a tool belt. The company will provide other tools such as drills, benders, and other specialty tools.
Currently, we are looking for qualified candidates with 2 or more years of controls or electrical experience.
Basic Duties:
Perform the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with energy management systems. Install and mount electric/electronic control devices, panels, sensors, and components. Performs wiring check out and assists with systems start-up. Coordinates with or advises supervision about the requirements for material and supplies. Provides inputs and assists with preparation of as-built drawings. Provides evaluation feedback to management regarding helpers/ apprentices.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Must have reliable transportation. Journeyman electricians may be assigned a company truck based on job responsibilities and performance, which they are typically permitted to take home.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be physically able to climb, work in high places and/or confined spaces.
Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
