The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is powered by a strong mission: protecting our communities while helping youth build safer, more successful futures. We are seeking compassionate, committed, and resilient individuals to join our team as Juvenile Justice Specialists at levels 1, 2, or 3, depending on experience and qualifications. These frontline professionals play a critical role in supervising youth, maintaining safety, and supporting rehabilitation within secure care settings. This is a meaningful opportunity to lead with integrity, model positive behavior, and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people while strengthening public safety and community well-being.
Possession of a high school diploma or GED; OR
One year of experience in any field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) (Part 115:17) of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations an applicant who has been found to have engaged in any form of sexual abuse; engaged in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable or refused will be disqualified.
