Job Summary
Gaylord Solutions is a fast-growing, engineering-driven contract machining company specializing in high-precision components for defense and aerospace. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to support our Swiss lathe operations.
This position is ideal for someone with Swiss machining experience, or a strong CNC background and the desire to learn Swiss-style machining. The right candidate will be mechanically minded, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership. We are looking for a person that takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
· Set up, operate, and support Swiss-type CNC lathe operations
· Learn and assist with programming, tooling, and process development
· Work with engineering and quality to ensure parts meet print requirements
· Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and inspection requirements
· Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement
· Assist with setup reduction, cycle time improvement, and process repeatability
· Maintain a clean, organized, and quality-focused work area
· Take ownership of assigned work and support production goals
Requirements
· Swiss CNC lathe experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
· CNC lathe or mill experience strongly preferred
· Ability to read blueprints and use basic inspection tools
· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well with others
· Comfortable in a startup-like environment where priorities can change quickly
· Take pride in producing high-quality work
Preferred Experience
· Star Swiss lathe experience
· PartMaker, SolidCAM, or other CAM software experience
· GD&T knowledge
· Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
· Setup and tooling experience

Pay: $22.00 - $30.36 per hour
