Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team as a local driver. The ideal candidate WILL be able to operate manual transmission(s) and responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service with our customers at various locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers for the safe delivery of freight.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Utilize manual transmission, demonstrating proficiency in operating different types of vehicles.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailer.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols at all times.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
