Job Summary:
Join our dynamic ophthalmic retina team dedicated to preserving and restoring patient vision! We are seeking a detail-orientated Ophthalmic Retina Technician to assist our physicians in our growing retina practice. We have multiple satellite clinics within the metro and surrounding Oklahoma area. In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive patient work-ups and specialized diagnostic testing using cutting-edge technology, ensuring our physicians have the precise data needed for effective treatment plans. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Workups: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical and ocular histories, measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure (tonometry), and performing basic motility exams.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Operate advanced ophthalmic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, specifically Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and fundus photography.
- Clinic Operations: Maintain and sterilize clinical equipment, stock exam rooms, and manage patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive clinic experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Candidates must have the ability to travel (no overnights) within Oklahoma to our satellite clinics as needed
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Prior experience in Ophthalmology/Optometry
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) through IJCAHPО
