Plumbing Laborer / Excavation Crew MemberOverview
JL&F Plumbing is looking for a hardworking, dependable Laborer to assist with sewer and water line replacements, excavations, and general plumbing projects. This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
This is not a plumbing apprentice position. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, isn't afraid of hard labor, and takes pride in doing the job right.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sewer and water line excavations.
- Work in trenches and ditches during plumbing repairs and replacements.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
- Hand dig around existing utilities as needed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Assist plumbers with job site setup and cleanup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and directions from the lead technician.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, excavation, or labor experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and muddy conditions.
- Ability to work long, physically demanding days.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
What to Expect
This position involves long days outdoors, often in trenches and ditches, digging by hand, moving heavy materials, and working in Missouri's summer heat and winter weather. It is physically demanding work, but it is steady, rewarding, and an important part of our team.

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience. Wages will be discussed during the in-person interview.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
