Duties
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Support veterinary team members with animal handling during examinations or treatments
- Perform pet sitting duties by feeding, walking, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Engage in pet care activities such as administering medications under supervision and monitoring animal health (when needed)
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to kennel supplies or equipment as needed
- Offer excellent customer service by answering questions from pet owners and providing updates on their pets’ status
Experience
- Previous kennel or animal care experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong animal handling skills combined with compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role
- Customer service experience will help you effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns confidently
- Physical stamina is required for heavy lifting, long periods of standing, walking, or bending throughout the day
