Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide appropriate health care services for students in the school clinic; under the general
supervision of the principal, in the absence of the school nurs

School year start date: 8/4/2026
Pay: $46/hour including stipend
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Current, active Georgia RN or LPN license.
- Ability to successfully complete the district's Clinic Substitute Training and ongoing competency requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and administrators.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to perform the physical duties required of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to students in accordance with Georgia Board of Nursing regulations and district policies.
- Administer medications, including emergency and injectable medications, following physician orders and district protocols.
- Perform nursing procedures as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student health records.
- Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Identify and manage suspected infectious illnesses while helping prevent disease transmission through education and appropriate protocols.
- Educate students and staff on standard precautions and health-related practices.
- Foster a safe, caring, and respectful environment within the school health clinic.
- Collaborate effectively with school personnel, nursing leadership, students, and families regarding student health needs.
- Attend required training sessions and maintain clinical competencies.
- Demonstrate professionalism through reliable attendance, adherence to district policies, and a professional appearance.
- Utilize district nursing resources, manuals, and clinic procedures to ensure quality care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
