Position Overview
We are seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support a district. This role focuses on helping students develop the functional, sensory, and motor skills needed for success in the classroom environment.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative school team to support student participation and independence across educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services (fine motor, sensory integration, self-help skills)
- Track progress and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support planning
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Maryland OT license
- NBCOT certification preferred
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
