Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Nursing)
Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, 02143
Shift: Monday-Friday 10 Hr. days (7 AM-5:30 PM) | 40 Hrs/Week
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Possible Extension)
Facility: CHA Somerville Campus
Pay Package:
- Weekly Gross: $3,048/wk
- Weekly Stipends: $1,848/wk
- Hourly Taxable: $30/hr. on W2
- OT Rate: $100/hr.
For Local Candidates (Residing within 50 miles from the facilty):
- Weekly Gross: $2,600/wk
- Hourly Rate: $65/hr
- OT Rate: $85/hr.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year of experience within specialty.- Required.
- Current/Active MA license in hand.- Required.
- Current BLS and ACLS from AHA.- Required.
- SGNA cert.- Preferred
Duties
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by explaining the process, obtaining informed consent, and conducting pre-procedure assessments.
- Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures by managing equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety throughout.
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses during procedures, responding promptly to any signs of distress or complications.
- Administer medications such as sedation or anesthesia under physician supervision, following strict protocols for medication administration and documentation.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile environment.
- Provide post-procedure care including patient education on recovery protocols, discharge instructions, and follow-up appointments.
